Creating an empathy driven & compassion focused mental health & social service practice has been my dream since I was 16 years old. My own life experiences drove me into the field of Social Work & mental health to empower, motivate, uplift and elevate individuals, youth, and families. I have over 15 years of experience in Trauma-informed psychotherapy and/or social work practices with a demonstrated history of working in government, civic & social non-profit organizations.

Sometimes our ability to accept what we can't change is tied to our willingness to change what we can. It has been my privilege to work with diverse populations across Texas, Louisiana and Alaska, including residential substance abuse, Youth & Families and Active Duty Military & their families. I use CBT, strength-based and existential modalities to help a client reach their goals, problem solve and manage their mental health needs. I help facilitate cognitive and behavioral changes that will lead to greater understanding..... Change is achievable.

I consider my therapeutic approach eclectic, incorporating many empirically supported schools of thought into my therapeutic relationships. I believe in offering flexibility and balance to an individual’s needs and allow my clients to guide my intuition in how to best support their personal healing journey. I offer include individual therapy for adolescents and adults, marriage/couple’s therapy, family therapy, parent coaching and advocacy support, educational in-service hours (CPEs), and other public speaking engagements.

Dr. David Pulley "Dr. Dave" earned his bachelor's in psychology from Howard University in DC and obtained both his Master's and Doctorate from Chestnut Hill College in PA. His Doctorate degree is in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and a specialization in the subject of Soul Mates. As a result, he is known as an expert on soul mates and a pioneer of some of the clinically based models and theories on the subject. Dr. Pulley has created a team of clinical consultants (Tender Loving Care Clinical Consultations) who provide psychologically based consultative support for their client base.

Wilson Psychological & Forensic Services, PLLC is a full-service mental health, forensics, and substance abuse practice servicing all counties in the Washington State, Houston, and Sugarland, Texas areas. We offer dual diagnosis/co-occurring mental health services for individuals seeking help with depression, anxiety, grief, mood, and substance abuse issues. We are approved examiners for the Board of Nursing (BON) and the Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses (TPAPN). We also provide DUI, court-ordered alcohol and substance abuse assessments, DOT SAP, immigration, and domestic violence (VAWA) evaluations and assessments.

An ideal client for me would be a member of the LGBTQ+ community since I am a Queer-identified therapist myself as well as a client wanting to work on overcoming past traumas or challenges. I prefer working with people who are in the teenage phase of the family life cycle all the way to the launching and young adulthood phase of the cycle as well. Helping individuals understand what patterns from our families of origin we might mindlessly be enacting and creating more preferrable interactional patterns is something else I love helping clients with in therapy.
