I am a licensed therapist with over 25 yrs experience with adults, the elderly, teens, couples, families, the chronic mentally ill, and the military. I have been in private practice since 2001, and previously worked at partial hospitalization day treatment clinics doing individual and group therapy. I served as program director of an inpatient psychiatric unit in a local hospital. I have a working knowledge of anxiety disorders including PTSD, depression and suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, marital conflict and relationship issues, crisis and trauma, grief issues, sexual abuse, sexual identity issues, and Christian counseling.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 12 years with 28 years overall experience, I have found that people need someone at some point in their life to help them face difficult life challenges, circumstances or past traumatic experiences that are preventing them from reaching their goals or full potential. Lori Ortiz is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas who has been practicing since 2001. She has an M. A. , Guidance and Counseling from University of Texas at San Antonio and a B.A., Early Childhood Education from UTSA. As a therapist and as a person I have grown profoundly over the last several years. This is due to my education, as well as my previous and current work experience. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in psychology. I chose this field because I have a large heart and a passion for helping others. I continued on this same path by pursuing graduate school afterward. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston and soon thereafter obtained my license to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
