The work that we do in prison to help us survive is different than the skills needed to thrive when we are back home. Lets work together to accept who we were, we are and who we might yet be. I work with couples to help them understand the conflict patterns in their relationship and identify new ways of meeting their needs.

Joy Wood has nearly 15 years experience in mental health care for children, adolescents and adults. She earned her master's degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University and her bachelor's degree in psychology from Kent State University. She served as clinical services director for an adolescent residential treatment center in Cleveland for nearly 10 years, previously serving as a clinical supervisor. She specializes in child and adolescent services, particularly in the treatment of anger management, stress management, depression, and oppositional behaviors, as well as parenting and family therapy.

Hi, my name is Samantha, but please call me Sam. I am an enthusiastic and passionate Social Worker with a background in child and adolescent counseling. I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Miami University, and have worked with children and adolescents in various settings for the past several years. I not only work with individuals, but have also worked as a group counselor, a child and family mediator, and an educator when needed.

Mackenzie’s goal as a therapist is to provide a space for clients to feel safe, appreciated, seen, heard and honored for the unique individual they are! Additionally, Mackenzie works to incorporate art and creative means into sessions, as art can truly be therapeutic and can further facilitate expression and conversation. She encourages creativity with the hopes of fostering healing, growth, and self discovery.
