I am the Director of the Hudson Valley Center for Cognitive Therapy (HVCCT). Our psychologists work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Two of our primary areas of specialization are mood and anxiety disorders, such as depression, panic, phobias, OCD, chronic worry,and social anxiety. Our therapists also have expertise in working with ADHD, academic and career issues, grief/loss, relationship/marital issues, parent training, and health psychology. Welcome! As a mental health counselor, I understand the difficulties of taking the first step to seek treatment. Individuals may feel strange talking about aspects of their life they have yet to view and/or process. Our sessions will serve as a safe and judgment-free environment to explore past experiences, current behaviors, and difficulties processing trauma. You will be provided with the ability to explore difficulties in your life and be provided with as much structure as needed to build on skills and make changes. I work to hear the client and ensure interventions are helpful to support growth.

My ideal client is in need of testing to determine the extent of cognitive implications after automobile accidents, slip and fall injuries, memory, emotional and Attention Deficit Disorder. This is done objectively through testing and not just opinions of others. All types of neuropyschological examinations are available, in addition to attention and executive functions, such as memory, and emotional assessments. Cutting edge cognitive and psychoeducational testing is also available.

I specialize in the treatment of adolescents and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, and issues relating to self-esteem. I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychological and interpersonal challenges in life, such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, life transition, relationship problems, and developmental disorders. I believe that psychotherapy is a process in which client and therapist collaborate in order to help client to improve self-understanding, overcome painful emotions, and discover new and widened perspectives about himself/herself, others, and life. I facilitate client's discovery and development of balanced and integrated personality so that he/she can transcend his/her psychological conflicts.
