What makes me different? 
I’m a survivor: I’ve been through it. I am committed to providing creative, dynamic, evidence-based, mental health therapy to a diverse body of clients. I am passionate about providing Anti-Oppression, Trauma-Informed individual and couples’ counseling to clients from all backgrounds. In our sessions, expect to laugh, cry, cuss (if you want to), have “lightbulb” moments, and be embraced for who you are. We’ll work together to improve your relationships, identify and change patterns and behaviors, grow your emotional intelligence, break generational cycles, to live your most authentic, fulfilling life.

I am passionate about working with folks who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, or interpersonal issues. My goal is to come alongside you as we pursue healing together. I'm a trans, queer, Mexican-American therapist who works from an attuned, responsive, and relationship oriented approach. As all of us have a tendency to get lost in a narrative or storyline, I invite clients to slow down with me and get intimate with their direct experience—the raging emotions in the body, the coming and going of thoughts, the feeling of shaky vulnerability, the rage, the loneliness—honoring it all and creating a safe holding space for these lost emotions, perhaps for the first time ever. I work well with clients who are ready to deal actively with their issues and see real progress. Whether with individuals, couples, families or as a leader of group therapy, I combine psychoeducation and an eclectic mix of techniques from traditional talk therapy, psychodrama, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and mind-body techniques.
