I help clients find focus and relax preconceived notions of how growth and healing occurs. This allows one to learn from their symptoms in order to ease suffering - to hold paradox.

Brandon graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Master of Arts in Counseling and has experience working with marginalized and minority populations, specifically BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as families and teens. Brandon sees therapy through an Indigenous lens similar to the life they grew up with on the reservation. This means that the therapeutic process is connected, communal, and focused on holistic approaches to issues which often means looking beyond just the surface level problems. Brandon works with clients to help them create long term, more permanent change so that they can better understand and manage.

It begins with wanting change: Art therapy isn't just for "artists" or "creative types", it's for anyone who wants to work towards different solutions to their challenges. It's for anyone who wants to express themselves beyond what words they can speak. It's for anyone who needs a space that isn't "right" or "wrong", a space to be themselves safely and freely. I primarily work with individuals and groups to promote living with authenticity and sustainability.

I value working with teens and adults in a supportive non-judgmental way. I assist people who may be challenged with shame, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, substance use issues/recovery, communication issues, parent/child relationship difficulties, trauma, lack of self-care, and low self-esteem. Often people are struggling with something in their lives that is out of balance or going through a transition and reinventing themselves. Basically, I help people find their way again. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming, and gender-affirming therapist. I am also a culturally responsive and social justice-oriented therapist.

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma & support people who are moving through life's transitions. Many of my clients may be experiencing anxiety, depression, addictive behaviors, substance use, or relationship issues. It's my honor to provide affirming care to LGBTQIA+ folks. I am fluent in ASL can offer services to Deaf or HoH clients in their native language. I am certified in two trauma treatments, Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) & Compassionate Inquiry. Both are aimed to remind you of your wholeness beyond the traumatic experiences.

I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, and seek to empower my clients to make personal decisions about their treatment under guidance. My worldview and theoretical approach is rooted in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and holistic framework and utilizes interventions from methodologies such as Somatic Experiencing, existentialism, and person-centered psychotherapy. I enjoy working with a wide range of demographics and issues, but my ideal client would be someone seeking help with integrating past trauma, a harm reduction approach to substance use, disordered eating, and/or moving through a life transition.
