Change is difficult, but it is possible. I help people identify the changes they want to make and support them in their journey toward their goals. I use a holistic and flexible approach that is designed to meet the needs of the individual. I am direct yet gentle and I challenge clients to trust and listen to themselves. I believe that living in the moment, known as mindfulness, is one of the most helpful tools that we have available to help us to learn how to foster compassion for ourselves and others, quiet our fears, identify what is important, and create the life we want.

While reaching out for help can feel scary, please know that in therapy you have a lot of control and I work hard to help you feel safe. My clients tend to prefer the flexibility that being seen by video offers. Often, my clients are living stressful lives, may have a history of trauma, or be feeling overwhelmed. In particular, I'm experienced in working with people living with anxiety, depression, OCD, past trauma, people in recovery, and healthcare workers. Everyone is different, and I prefer to shape how we work together based on your individual needs and goals. I see clients virtually in both New Hampshire and Texas.

Trust is very important to the therapeutic relationship and I strive to check in with clients periodically to ask about any issues that may have come up in the relationship. I help clients with working on communication skills, low self esteem, depression and anxiety. I like doing role plays and giving clients handouts and homework!

I am passionate about the work that I do and realize that reaching out and asking for help can be one of the most challenging aspects of starting the therapy process. We all have strengths, yet sometimes we need guidance to identify what they are and how they help us to move through difficult challenges we face. I draw upon several theoretical frameworks which include trauma-informed care, strength-based, solution-focused, narrative therapy, and systems practices. However, I prefer to relate on a human level and focus on building meaningful relationships where true compassion and understanding can lead to meaningful transformations.

Discussing sex and sexuality can feel awkward or challenging. Many of us are taught to feel shameful about our bodies, the ways we love, and the ways in which we experience pleasure. I'm here to help you walk away from these old stories. Whether you hope to rebuild trust, communication, intimacy, or joy with yourself or others, my goal is to support your growth. I offer individual and partnered sessions - romantic, platonic, play, lifestyle, D/s, or any other meaningful partner.

I have been a practicing social worker for 40 years, and a clinician in the Seacoast area for over 28 years with 20 years in hospice. It's not just about death and dying, it's also about living...living the best possible life, and because everyone dies, every human issue can surface.
