I use an integrative style of psychotherapy that pulls from many different approaches with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and have experience working with those struggling with addiction and recovery issues.I also have years of experience working with emergency and trauma patients and their families. I am a cognitive-behavioral therapist, and I have expertise in the use of acceptance-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the treatment of trauma. I see a wide variety of clients in my practice, including individuals struggling with symptoms of borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, and anxiety disorders. Treatment includes Group Home settings, Residential Treatment Facilities, In-Patient, homeless shelters, and in the family home I am a certified a Trauma Specialist, I've received training in Gambling addiction, and have completed several hours in Transactional Analysis/Re-decision Therapy at the South East Institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I have been trained in Sexual Offender Treatment and Assessment with upcoming Certification 2016. I have expertise in grief and loss, launching, and communication improvement within the family structure.
