While attending graduate school, she worked with adolescents who had experienced trauma from sexual abuse. Postgraduate, Alexandra worked at a rape crisis center providing advocacy services and crisis intervention to survivors of sexual assault of all ages. Alexandra has also worked at a private practice and healthcare setting providing therapeutic services for adolescents, adults, and seniors.

I am an LCSW based out of Raleigh, NC specializing in individual, couple's and family therapy. I received my Master’s in Social Work with a Concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse at Fayetteville State University. While attending FSU, I completed the Substance Abuse Licensure Program at UNC Chapel Hill. As way to ensure that my community received the help they needed, I created and implemented the Substance Abuse Program in the Social Work Department at Fayetteville State. With the assistance of my professor at FSU and the board member/ professor at UNC Chapel Hill, Worth Bolton of the before I graduated in May 2013.

Weekday appointments available: My approach to therapy is attachment based psychoanalysis with a trauma focus. All humans have the basic fundamental need to be loved, be seen, and be heard. Our beliefs, feelings, behavior patterns, and relational dynamics are driven by these needs before we could articulate. We learned about our world through our first relationships and these subconscious attachments. We work with the subconscious, identify how your attachment reinforces choices, and unworked through feelings. You may not have an identified traumatic experience; rather, you experienced an event that was too complex to process then.
