I have more than twenty years of experience working in crisis, family preservation, Family Reunion Services (FRS) and Intensive In Home Services (IIS). I have trained workers hired for IIS and FRS for the State of Missouri. I am certified as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) by Association for Play Therapy.

I am Angela Sullivan, MA, LPC, CRAADC, NCC and Mediator. I am licensed as a professional counselor and certified as a substance abuse counselor as well as a Mediator. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families whom are wanting to improve their quality of life by enhancing communication styles, alleviating symptoms of depression and in learning effective interaction techniques. I am highly skilled in working with couples to enhance and/or mend relationships as well as families. I have personal insight for those individuals struggling with eating disorders I am also an approved Mediator for the state of Missouri specializing in divorce mediation.

Beginning with a new therapist can be anxiety provoking. It's difficult to know who the "right" therapist will be for you. My focus will be getting to know you and what your goals are for therapy. I enjoy teaching coping skills to manage anxiety and depressive symptoms. I also am a Certified Grief Counselor. I understand the grieving process and how to help support you through this transition. Grieving isn't only seen with death but also with loss of marriage, home, job, friendship, etc. My practice is located on a lake where we can practice mindfulness exercises and focus on calming energy.

For 30yrs, I have had the distinct privilege of working with hundreds of traumatized clients, couples, & fellow mental health professionals. Though many are shattered by grave emotional injuries, they find a way to rise up, face themselves and others, heal bravely, and transform their lives.
