Larry Davis Jr. , MA, LPC, NCC, ACS, CADC is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has been practicing since 2013. Larry graduated from Ashland University (2013) with a master's degree in counseling and completed further graduate studies in human resources management at Oakland University (2016). Larry has extensive clinical experience in substance abuse and mental health through numerous inpatient and outpatient medical facilities.

Empowering individuals toward real change.  Life is difficult sometimes with family, friends, work and personal issues etc. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to hear about your problems or have your best interest at heart. Everyone has their own unique identity and experiences. Sometimes we need to understand what brought us to this point in life. Your issues don't define who you are.

I don't believe in having an "ideal client," but rather subscribe to Irvin Yalom's idea that the client/clinician relationship is one of "fellow travelers." Therefore, I view it as my responsibility to meet the client where they are in order to begin a journey in which their needs and strengths indicate the direction of therapy. I create a space in which my diverse client-base is inspired to be as truthful and expressive as possible and in which we can begin to pay attention to the client's deepest voice. Moving toward feeling and through repression is crucial to my work, and I believe lasting growth begins here.

My ideal client hasn't had things be super easy for them. Having to deal with health issues or not being accepted by friends or family for your gender/sexuality adds another challenge on navigating life. Working together using holistic somatic approaches like Brainspotting and EMDR I want to provide you with a safe, affirming and non-judgmental space for you to heal and grow from harmful life experiences. Collaboratively we can work toward your goals using trauma informed interventions in individual counseling sessions.

Toccara Bailey is an established LCSW. Throughout her career she has been blessed to work with people of all ages from many different walks of life. Her philosophy is that people deserve to enjoy their lives no matter what their circumstances are. She assists individuals, couples and families in determining what their best life looks like and works with them to create goals and take action to live it. She earned her B.A. in Family Community Services with a specialization in Child and Youth Development from Michigan State University (Go Green! ) and her MSW from Wayne State University with a focus on Family Systems.
