I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. I received my master's degree education from Purdue University Northwest. I have experience in working with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, child abuse/neglect, grief/loss, behavioral disorders, parenting skills, and adjustment disorders.

Starting counseling is a significant decision. Counseling can sometimes lead to intense emotions, and clients sometimes feel worse before they feel better. However, counseling often leads to significant symptom reduction, increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, greater personal awareness and insight, and increased skills for managing stress.

Briana is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Her primary area of focus is couples work, but she also provides services to individuals and families. She believes that clients are the experts of their lives—no one knows you better than yourself! She uses a post-modern approach by creating a dualistic relationship with clients throughout the therapeutic process. She sees herself as a co-collaborator, working with you to identify the root cause of your distress and empower you to make the changes you desire within a safe and understanding environment.

My ideal client is an individual that has identified his/her life as out of balance and that he/she wants to address and find solutions to bring their life back into balance. I work with adults, children/adolescents but have successfully treated all ages of clients in both brief and long-term therapy. I see individuals, couples, and families. Problem areas include Depression; Anxiety; Sexual Addiction; Substance Abuse; and Trauma Resolution . I work with individuals, families, and couples. Throughout my years of practice, I have had specialized training in the above areas. I work to preserve and increase a client's dignity.

Neuropsychologist: I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Indiana and Illinois. I have specialized training in clinical Neuropsychology from Fielding Graduate University. My work at Northwestern University and University of California at Davis has been with patients with Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and Alzheimer's disease. My clinic provides comprehensive services to children and adult with ADD, Learning disabilities, and Autism at five locations in Northwest Indiana and Illinois.. .

I have been providing behavioral health services for over 30 years and feel that I am uniquely qualified to assist individuals and families in reaching their potential and overcoming personal challenges. I utilize a strengths based perspective and a holistic approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit. I provide a thorough assessment and determine with you what intervention is best suited. I have worked extensively with people of all ages and cultures and feel that it is important to create a safe environment where self reflection and transformation can occur.

I am a licensed mental health therapist with over 15 years of experience. I have extensive experience working with teens, adults and elders. I work with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, grief, self- esteem issues, women’s issues, communication skills among other disorders. I believe in a holistic approach to psychotherapy. Working with several local community mental health centers have provided me with a strong foundation to work with a variety of client populations including outpatient therapy, inpatient psych, and chemical dependency and addictions. I have also spent a year working in residential treatment.

I have been providing individual and family counseling for 30 years, from a multicultural system perspective. Years of experiences has led me to believe that the most important aspect of counseling is to have a listening ear and the development of a trusting therapeutic relationship with a non-judgmental approach. I possess strong assessment skills for family conflict resolution and mediation. . Life transitions causes us to be in a storm or coming out of a storm, leading to life disruptions which can be extremely stressful; a skillful therapist such as myself can help clients to redirect and deal with a variety of traumas.

Managing past experiences of pain and difficulties and/or current issues of trauma (family, relationships, employment etc.) can render one with feelings of helplessness and/or hopeless for tomorrow, this can be devastating. I believe having someone to address these concerns with in a confidential, nonjudgmental, manner can change one's life dramatically for the better. It is important to me to help my client gain insight and the tools to improve their life. My focus throughout our work together is to assure my client they are not alone in their struggle and they can heal, feel whole, and begin to experience a more fulfilled life.

I entered the field of social work because I love people and I have a passion of giving to others. It is just in me to help others which I learned from my grandmother.
