I have a passion for couples seeking to improve their relationship with their spouse or significant other and who yearn for deeper levels of emotional, relational and physical intimacy. I also come alongside parents and their children to develop better ways of communicating by giving them tools as to how to relate to each other in ways that create a calmer, more peaceful home, where defiant attitudes give way to mutual cooperation and higher levels of trust and respect between all family members.

Whether you are dealing with stressful life changes, relationship conflict, cycles of anxiety and depression, feeling in a funk, or just need someone to help process all of life's complicated emotions, I am here to help. I truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy. When life gets tough, it forces us to look for ways to change and grow and it does not hurt to have some help as we do so.

Research and experience tells us that effective therapy is predicated on a truly meaningful relationship between client and therapist. I am confident that I can provide a time and space where you and/or your child will feel understood, accepted, cared for, and appropriately challenged to change. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, divorce, separated and blended families, life transitions, sexual health and sexual identity, conflicted family relationships, attachment issues, and emotion and behavior management.

I have an extensive history in substance abuse and mental health treatment. My clients are as young as 16 and as old as 80. I also address issues of anxiety, depression, esteem, and relationship issues. Many clients are referred through their EAP program. As a former member of the military service, I am also focused on serving the mental health, substance abuse treatment, and other needs of today's veterans, their family members, and active military members. I am associated with the VA and I am certified by the VA in therapies to treat PTSD. Additionally, I welcome all clients, veterans and non-veterans alike.

Making the decision to ask for help can be difficult. The truth is, seeking guided support is a sign of strength. From time to time, we all need a little help to realize our own potential. Using a combination of therapy, meditation, mindfulness techniques and healthy lifestyle changes, together we can break old negative cycles and resolve current troublesome issues. No matter your age, whether you seek individual, couples, family or group therapy, it is my job to empower and encourage you to walk safely through the maze of human life. You are not alone.

I understand that the decision to participate in therapy can be uncomfortable and daunting for many people, so creating a genuine client-therapist relationship and a safe space is a priority of mine. I strive to make the therapeutic process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I view therapy as a collaborative process that is founded on the individual’s strengths and goals and respect that each client is unique in their experiences and situations. I am passionate about working with couples, and client's struggling with anxiety, personal identity, and helping to challenge and change negative thoughts and behaviors.

We live in a stressful, complex, and contradictory world. And though you do your best to cope with the chaos around you, sometimes it gets overwhelming. The chaos can make you question your decisions - sometimes it can even make you question who and how you are. Why are there so many obstacles to the life and relationships you want? Shouldn’t there be a clearer path? It can be so hard to navigate through the noise. Craving to connect more fully but end up feeling needy and more alone. Wanting to feel safe, but unease grows and bleeds through. Striving to be authentic, but there is so much noise it is hard to hear your true self.
