My clients enjoy a variety of experiences in sessions from being deeply heard, felt and validated to being accompanied as they remember and explore issues of concern and curiosity. We bond as they get to know themselves better through these experiences of self. They begin to heal childhood wounds and finish developing in ways they might not have thought possible.

Welcome! I work with individuals, families, and couples to help them find new ways to look at their lives and new ways to manage difficult emotions. For more than twenty years, I've been working with children, adults, and families and have worked as an ADHD coach and as a special education advocate. I have also been a program director overseeing eating disorder clinics with clients who had primary eating disorders as well as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, attachment disorders, and borderline personality disorder, among others.

I am an experienced and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor an Marriage and Family Therapist with over thirty years of experience. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I also supervise and train other counselors who are working towards their licensure.

Pam Flatow was born and raised in New York. She graduated Cum Laude from Boston University with a BA and received her Masters in Social Work from Hunter College. She has worked in medical and psychiatric settings, inpatient and outpatient, and was Director of Social Services at a psychiatric hospital in Florida. Pam has many years of experience in her private practice, working with both adolescents and adults utilizing an eclectic range of therapeutic modalities. She is warm and caring and this comes across to her clients. She is the mother of three grown children and had a long term marriage until her husband passed away in 2015.

In life we often come to a point where what has been no longer works. We reach a point where we have to make changes for our wellbeing and/or happiness. We reach a crossroad, and must figure out which direction to take. In my work with clients, I aim to help them navigate this process. This includes exploring options that are available or could be forged. It includes exploring the impact of change on existing relationships. It includes making space for all the feelings, both good and difficult, that come with considering something new. It also includes finally attending to past pain/trauma that could be clouding the process now.
