Strength lies in our ability to look inward, especially in the worst phases of our lives. I specialize in working with trauma, depression, first responders, and victims of trauma. I will support any client in navigating the struggles of the mind; and using my own resiliency beliefs and empathic understanding, we will navigate your strengths together to find your internal ability to overcome.

Life can feel heavy sometimes, you seem to be plodding along just trying to get through it, or worse, waking up filled with dread at what the day ahead will bring. You struggle to find anything to get excited about or look forward to. It could be that something intangible has shifted and you have lost your sense of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm. Or perhaps a transitional event has occurred; you left a job, changed careers, retired, divorced, your kids grew up and moved away, you experienced the loss of someone close to you, received a life altering medical diagnosis, or a caregiving role has consumed your life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who helps children and individuals work through challenging events, assisting them to thrive. Creating a non-judgmental, safe, positive, compassionate and supportive environment is one of my ultimate goals. I have experience in helping individuals and children manage anxiety, depression, health & eating issues, loss of a loved one, addictions, life transitions, divorce, deployments and much more. I have worked with children and adults diagnosed with ADHD and Autism, as well as helped their families through the challenging times.

No matter the problem, I like to admonish and respect each person as an individual with their own set of ideals, beliefs and cultural values. I look forward to working with people from all backgrounds. In turn, each problem a person brings to the table is also unique and takes an eclectic approach based on the wider picture all the way to the details of whatever they are working on. I feel my job is to offer options to my clients with educated, research and experienced based information about the pros and cons of each choice. In this way I feel I can help people get unstuck and flourish in their life goals and dreams.

I am also a Licensed Addiction Counselor and work with individuals struggling with all forms of addiction; including alcohol, substances, pornography, sex, gambling, cigarettes, and electronics.

Recovery is possible without hospitalization or medication in the privacy of your own home. Maintaining participation in and control of your life during treatment is paramount for recovery. Complete abstinence may not be the primary goal, rather, harm reduction and stability may be preferable and certainly achievable. No matter your personal recovery goals, you can recover health, stability, and joy in your life and I can guide you through it.
