Due to a difficult childhood or traumatic events, your voice may not have been heard or respected resulting in buried pain and silent struggles. My focus is helping individuals develop their voice and find an inner strength they may not realize already exists. I have a particular interest in treating intergenerational trauma, religious trauma, narcissistic abuse, and victims of high control groups/individuals.

Seeking counsel outside your circle of family and friends is often a difficult decision to make. I feel therapy begins with a genuine connection between the therapist and client. Within this relationship I offer a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate environment in which clients find their inner strength, healing, and personal growth. My goal is to assist clients find skills needed to work through the difficulties that have prevented them from moving forward. I have worked in the field for the past 10 years from nonprofit organizations, outpatient substance abuse facilities, crisis on call agencies and the judicial system, I know life is never a straight line, and there are always twists and turns. It takes so much courage to ask for help. In my twenty plus years as a therapist I have been humbled time and again as clients make that call and come in for sessions. People come in to talk about some of the most difficult things, from childhood abuse to a struggling marriage. It has been a privilege to be of service to so many people. I often get asked how I can listen to peoples stories of hurt and pain and I answer that it is difficult but so hopeful. I specialize in working with children and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and difficulties related to relationships, behaviors, and trauma. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have worked with clients ranging from age 5 to 65. I hold a strong belief that all individuals have resiliency in their core, and are capable of taking control over their own lives. I understand that taking the leap to begin therapy can be scary and uncertain. I believe that it is important to meet clients where they are and help to gain a deeper understanding of the areas in life that have lead to a feeling of being stuck or lost.
