Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. Taking that first step can be hard so I'll tell you a little about me. Inspired by my desire to help, my goal is to provide comfort, hope and healing in times of despair, loneliness and confusion. I hope to help you gain peace, hope and/or understanding of your problems and help you gain the skills needed to live the life you're seeking.

Feeling anxious, depressed, upset, confused, lonely, experiencing a pressing issue or racing thoughts? Mental health issues or problems can be overwhelming and difficult, but that does not mean you have to experience the spiraling effects alone. As a mental health professional, my approach is to help you utilize your innate abilities to manage everyday challenges. Whether that is finding a sense of normality, seeking a solution, gaining skills, and establishing a sense of hope, my goal is to meet each client where they are at. Together we can build a trusting relationship and address you're mental health needs.

My passion lies in helping individuals from a relational perspective and instilling hope and assurance of one's individual journey. I believe we all have a story and the right to be heard and seen and that is what I look to offer you within our therapeutic relationship. i have experience treating adults with a wide array of issues such as depression, anxiety, attachment concerns, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, change of life issues, divorce, adoption, and relational disorders.

As a marriage and family therapist, I help people to become whole, stronger and make wiser choices. I help people come to terms with disappointments in their lives and change the way they think and feel to be able to improve their relationship issues, reduce anxiety and depression among other concerns.

I didn't know I was a California girl until I moved back East to rural Maryland, right off the Chesapeake Bay.  Faced with miles of nothing but trees, a few passing cars and the occasional Amish buggy I realized I wasn’t in Southern California anymore.  Given the fact there were few street lights and even fewer street signs, I quickly realized I needed to rely on GPS.  This piece of technology made it possible for me to see where I was, and help me get to where I wanted to go. My passion as a counselor, is to help you get from where you are, to where you want be.

9% of birth experiences end in trauma, yet, it’s difficult to find a provider who specializes in helping birth parents and their families through their traumatic experiences. If you’ve experienced fertility struggles, miscarriage(s), a difficult pregnancy, an adverse birth experience, birth trauma, a NICU stay, stillbirth, infant loss, or you have a medically fragile child or just need support navigating parenthood—I am here to help. I am passionate about holistic, evidence-based trauma treatments and somatic therapy to help you on your unique healing journey.

I welcome working with people who are struggling with the many challenges that life brings. I find those who are dealing with either acute or chronic stress are particularly responsive to my services. Often it is times of crisis in our lives that motivate us toward meaningful change.

A little about myself: I graduated from Smith College School of Social Work (Massachusetts) in 2006. My career has been rich and varied, for which I am truly grateful, having over 16+ years of experience, from outpatient therapy for individuals, couples and families, residential and PACT teams, and medical social work in an ER and transplant center. I currently work with adults in individual therapy in my private practice.

Therapy should always be affordable. I currently see clients in person throughout Southern California and via telahealth in Arkansas. I have over 20 years of experience working as a therapist, social worker, and a case manager in medical settings. Because of the joy I receive from watching a child and parent successfully complete therapy, I now focus my effort towards children and their family. I truly enjoy observing children learn, flourish, improve their ability to relate, and make a stronger bond between parent and child.

My clients come to me for a wide range of symptoms, but what they have in common is deep-seated feelings and thoughts of emptiness, loneliness, being unworthy or less-than, having to be perfect or ensure everyone else's comfort, being ignored, or being unloved and unlovable. They feel dead or numb inside, or experience big emotions such as fear and anger that seem out of proportion to what's going on. They want to feel loved, connected with others, optimistic and peaceful inside. They want to be able to feel their emotions without being overwhelmed by them. and maintain authentic and mutually fulfilling relationships.
