I am a licensed psychologist with specialized training in evidence-based psychotherapies established by research to be the most powerful, effective, and efficient methods for helping you through your difficulties. I have a lot of experience treating adults and seniors who struggle with a variety of problems, including depression, other mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, behavioral issues, traumatic brain injury, ADHD, lack of direction and focus, and self esteem problems.

For over fourteen years, I've provided holistic individual and couples therapy that focuses on the whole person, not just the symptoms. Many of the people I help are coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, a stressful transition, or unsatisfying relationships. Others are seeking guidance in crystallizing their identity or career path, wanting to invite more meaning, passion, and purpose into their life.

My ideal client has the potential to recognize that they have the answer lies within and that I, as a therapist, am there to help them find the answer within themselves. I have experience in working with clients with different cultural backgrounds, especially LGBT clients.

From there I went to UC San Diego to pursue psychology and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Film Studies. A higher percentage of creative people struggle with addiction, because they just don't know when to quit! Creatives frequently have low self-esteem, often despite proven success. Using cognitive (CBT) techniques and psychodynamic methods (how events from the past affect the present) I use a pragmatic, individualized approach. I include solution-focused and music/art therapy to help the client gain insight and put the insight to work to achieve realistic goals.
