I enjoy working with a wide range of clients who have unique needs and diverse backgrounds. My clients often struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and substance abuse. I am especially familiar with opioid abuse and the use of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). I also have experience working with the elderly and their family. My work includes educating their families and caregivers about dementia and how to use various interventions to ease the pain of this disease. I remind their caregivers how to take care of themselves as well.

My name is Valeria Rodriguez, and I am a Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2023 and a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2020. My practice is to provide compassionate care for individuals 15 years and older, couples, and families navigating with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, relationship misalignment, and PTSD. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also fluent in both English and Spanish.

From a collaborative process, I help my clients to establish what purpose they seek and discover ways to validate our pain, learning to control rather than being controlled by our fears, depression, et cetera.
