I have significant experience facilitating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for adults living with personality disorders as well as adolescents struggling with mood disorders and self-harm behaviors. I enjoy working with adolescents to effectively manage depression and anxiety symptoms, irritability, reactivity, relational stressors, communication issues, grief and loss, and self-esteem issues. I also like teaching skills and strategies to their parents and caregivers to they can feel resourced when supporting their young loved one outside of therapy.

I have an extensive experience working with mental health and substance use issues and supporting families. I enjoy working with individuals and couples; as well as parent coaching. Areas of specialty are anxiety and depression, women's emotional health, aging, trauma, grief and loss, body image and disordered eating, co-dependency, self-esteem, self-harm, and substance abuse/dependence. My approach is adaptive to whom I am working with. I have training in and utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, solution focus, EMDR, 12 step facilitation, as well as psychoeducation.

I teach practical and research based tools that help manage anxiety and depression. Therapy helps manage current levels of distress as well as underlying unresolved pain from the past. I encourage the process of developing an authentic and integrated relationship to one's self and others. At the same time, I often give direct advice.
