I enjoy helping adolescent and adult clients go beneath the surface to gain a deeper understanding and promote healing of the concerns that lead them to therapy. I believe in the importance of exploring the brain-body connection with those I work with to improve brain health, and ultimately mental health. I have specialized training in working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events. My training also includes working with juveniles who have committed sexual offenses.

The emphasis of my clinical work is in pediatric assessments including neuropsychological evaluations. I specialize in providing individually-tailored, extensive examinations of symptoms, development, and functioning in order to better understand each child or adolescent. Thus, the goal is not to arrive at a standardized diagnosis, but to achieve a deeper insight into each person's distinct biopsychosocial makeup. The most enjoyable aspect of assessment work is being able to provide children and families with clarifying "ah ha" moments, in order to help them make better sense and successes of their lives.

At times we have experienced difficulties; I believe remaining positive helps us through those times. I enjoy listening to individuals in in order to offer encouragement and solutions. My experiences include working with students in a public school setting, working with hospice as a Companion Sitter, and working with children, youth, and adult survivors of sexual assault. These experiences have allowed me the privilege to offer them emotional support, encouragement, and increase their self confidence.
