I believe successful psychotherapy relies on a unique relationship between a client and a therapist that is jointly created; together we discover and nurture the client's needs. I provide insight-oriented therapy with the belief that you, the client, are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance and understanding of your journey. I believe in authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, where I create a safe, warm and empathetic environment for exploration of past and present emotional struggles and psychological blockages to lead you toward your own healing and personal growth.
I help to address a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety and fears, childhood and sexual trauma, self-esteem issues, addiction, gambling disorders, relationship problems, identity issues and loneliness, adjustment to life's transitions, work stress, creativity blocks; adult children of alcoholics/addicts and individuals in advanced sobriety are welcome.
I am a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work with post-graduate trainings in Relational Self-Psychology. I am also credentialed in substance abuse and gambling treatment. I work with adults, adolescents, couples and families. I am in network with many insurance carriers in New York. I'm out of network/out of pocket in Massachusetts.
