I am a clinical psychologist and have extensive experience working in clinic and hospital settings, as well as in private practice. I am affiliated with Columbia University Medical Center where I completed my training and continue to work and supervise. I offer a safe and secure place where you can work through your problems and address the issues that undermine your ability to move forward in life. Depression, anxiety, trauma, difficulty with relationships, both personal and professional. I have an extensive referral network and am able to refer patients for specialized treatment of issues that arise, e.g., psychopharmacology, substance abuse, chronic pain.
I work with adults who are undergoing significant life changes and transitions. I have an extensive corporate background so am uniquely able to help work through professional problems in both work and interpersonal contexts. I offer seminars and workshops to identify and manage discrimination in the workplace based on gender, sexual orientation and race.
My research has focused on medical illness and its impact on the emotional well-being and functioning of patients and their families. At this time of heightened stress a professional can be an asset in the fight against cancer, HIV, MS and other debilitating or life-threatening illnesses.
