At Full Heart Recovery we believe that Sex Addiction, Chemical Dependency and Alcoholism are primary disorders. Addicts and their impacted families are in need of support, expert clinical care and practical tools to remain clean and sober. Utilizing both individual and group therapy in combination with neurofeedback and psychoeducation we address sex addiction and chemical dependency from a biological, social and psychological perspective.

I offer a safe environment in which clients can learn and grow. Therapy with me is conversational. I encourage my clients to lead the conversation and I share my thoughts and insights as honestly and sportively as possible. I believe positive growth and change occurs when people feel safe enough to make changes in how they relate to themselves and other people. The more authentically a person knows themselves, the more empowered they are to make life-affirming decisions.

For 25 years, I have helped people not just endure their greatest life struggles, but emerge empowered. Be it external pain (trauma, betrayal, death, illness) or internal (anxiety, depression, shame, self-sabotage), I approach all with compassionate accepting care.I am not passively silent but instead endow clients with self-empowering psychological techniques, while also coaxing forth clients' best inner resources they didn't even realize they already possessed. I strive for an authentic bond through which clients can access and honor their own truths, and emerge self-aligned, resourced, relieved of symptoms and confidant.

Dr Srednicki specializes in Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and those recovering from sexual addiction. He is a New York and New Jersey licensed psychologist, Graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute, the country's foremost OCD training program, sponsored by the International OCD Foundation and a long standing member of the Trichotillomania Learning Center. Dr. Srednicki is certified to work with "Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors," Trichotillomania, and Sex Addiction. He is also Board Certified in Neurofeedback. Dr Srednicki is the founder of Upper Montclair Psychological Associates, LLC.

I am a psychotherapist/researcher/ neuroscientist who studies how emotions influence our physical and emotional wellbeing. My book" Why Good Sex Matters" (Houghton, Mifflin, Harcourt, 1/2020) explores how imbalances in the wiring of the core emotional systems can disrupt our capacity for pleasure and joy--(contributing to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and general stress)--and outlines tool to rebalance the body/mind. My clients are seeking insights, tools, and skills to empower their capacity to have deeply joyful and satisfying lives. I work with them to co-create a multifaceted approach to fit their unique needs.

Life has become an endless string of chores. You've gotten good at smiling on the outside, but internally you're just going through the motions. The loneliness, exhaustion, and lack of motivation are eating at you. Despite the well-meant advice from friends and family members you still feel stuck, unable to live your life fully. You know you desperately need to find meaning and purpose, but you barely know how you got here, much less how to begin fixing it. Symptoms of depression are often related to traumatic experiences.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT is what I study, practice, research and teach. Psychodiagnostics, my practice based Northern New Jersey with additional sites in Morristown and Montclair, exclusively evaluates and explains, diagnoses and describes. Assessments assemble upwards of twenty standardized, computerized, and objective tests into customized batteries designed to answer referral questions, discriminate among disorders and provide descriptions of persons and problems. In addition to differentially diagnosing mental health disorders, Psychodiagnostics provides independent child study team evaluations, data-driven rule-outs for ADHD and Autism, competency, guardianship and similar legal evaluations, and also assessments relevant to accommodations for the PSAT/SAT/GRE/LSAT.

Over the past 42 years, I have devoted my practice to the treatment of people who want to feel happier with themselves, their relationships with their children, spouses, or family of origin. Many times people suffer from low self esteem, anxiety and depression. Parents come in with issues around their adolescent's behavior. Adults wish to improve how they communicate to their spouses, or would like to deal more effectively with problems at work and with bosses, or other authority figures. Many need help with everyday functioning, and some are struggling with confidence issues and initiative to set positive goals for the future.
