I have been considered among professionals as a highly qualified expert with children, youth and adolescent behavioral disorders, experience in trauma recovery and therapy PTSD, job and work-related stress, depression and anxiety. Hi! I am so glad you are here. I am a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker with a passionate commitment to helping others. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Masters in Social Work (with a clinical focus) from Michigan State University. During my studies, I earned a Child Welfare certificate and a Health and Aging certificate. I have professional experience working with all ages, from young children to the geriatric population, and in different clinical settings, such as nonprofits and healthcare.

Treatment is unique for each client and is determined by their own goals and needs. Areas of specialization include psychological assessment, Autism Spectrum disorder, cognitive remediation, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, adjustment disorders, geriatric issues, and grief and loss. My approach to therapy varies with each client, ranging from cognitive behavioral orientation, and a humanistic orientation. Treatment is tailored to each individual and therapy is focused on finding what works for each individual client.

I enjoy working with people of all ages. Although, most of the individuals I work with are 14 years old to 55 years old, I do work with people who are younger and older. The mix of ages is important to my practice for several reasons. My speciality is family psychotherapy and marriage counseling. Since I am addressing the family, I necessarily will deal with individuals of all ages. I work with relationship issues which may include parenting and discipline issues. In addition, I work with adults and children individually and/or within the family regarding abandonment/separation, depression, and anxiety.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages - from young children thru to seniors. My areas of focus include Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bullying, Depression, Grief, Personality Challenges, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Alcohol and Drug Abuse. I received my early education in private parochial schools in India, and obtained a Masters in Child Development and Family Relationships. I taught undergraduate students in my university before moving to the U.S. where I obtained my Masters in Education. Following my desire to help others, I attended Wayne State University where I obtained my Masters in Clinical Social Work.

My goal is to partner with you to provide a safe, non-judgmental space that allows for reflection, healing from past emotional wounds, and growth by establishing new coping skills to replace old patterns of thinking and behaving. I have extensive training in trauma and EMDR through the International Association (EMDRIA) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
