I have been a clinical social worker for over 25 years. I have a broad base of knowledge and am comfortable with dealing with all types of issues. I have worked in foster care and adoptions, worked with elderly and hospice work. currently working with children with behavioral and emotional issues from Autism to Oppositional defiance. I am solution focused and realize people want to stop feeling or experiencing the issues that bring them to seek help. I have and continue to work closely with individuals who suffer with substance abuse problems.

I have found myself to have an affinity for working with adults, the geriatric population, and individuals navigating challenging transitions in life, assisting clients to cope with social, emotional, crisis, relationship struggles, grief and trauma. Birgitta Kieckhaben uses an integrative approach of various modalities, focusing on the individual client’s needs. Modalities include Equine Assisted Mental Health (EAMH), Somatic Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CBT, DBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Birgitta has a nursing background and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy experience for twenty-plus years with neurological, mental, and geriatric disorders. She has a keen interest in Native American studies, Genocide, intergenerational trauma and healing, and addiction. Her approach is trauma and social justice informed.

I am a licensed psychologist with 20 years of experience and have been trained in several different modalities such as CBT, EMDR, CPT, and SFBT. I have experience helping with depression, anxiety, trauma, relational issues, psychosis, substance abuse, elderly issues, and am LGBTQI+ friendly. Originally from the Northwest, Crista moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, to attend Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor's of Social Work degree with a minor in gerontology and a Master's of Social Work degree. Crista also has an Associates of Applied Science degree in Holistic Health and is licensed and certified in Massage Therapy.

Dr. Poleski has experience with children, adults, and older adults in a number of settings. She utilizes an individualized approach that honors each person’s unique self and situation. Clients appreciate her authentic approach that creates a space free of judgment, where they can develop a strong, genuine working relationship to address whatever challenge they may be facing.

I am a licensed clinical social worker since 2010. I received my masters degree from Newman University in Colorado Springs. My personal difficulties taught me to be compassionate to myself and others. Asking questions instead of telling someone who they are is a tangible tool that leads to listening to our own truth instead of feeling okay only if someone else says we are. It can be difficult work, and the rewards are tremendous as we unwind the trauma to see the gifts hidden by the hurts. The journey from trauma to trust is a leap of faith. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus on helping clients rebuild, restructure and work through tough situations.
