As nonbinary, queer, immigrant of color, it has always been an intrinsic and essential part of my work to address the social determinants of well-being that populations face, and to use an intersectional lens when forming clinical assessments and interventions. I provide clinical supervision to master degree level clinicians working towards their California license. Ataraxis Care provides virtual (video) individual and group supervision for BBS registered associates. I treat adults as well as adolescents and children, most frequently through individual therapy. I also work with couples. I work with people with a wide range of problems and especially enjoy working with people experiencing anxiety in relationships or at work . I also enjoy working with people who are unhappy and don't know why, and people who are repeating self-defeating patterns they feel unable to change. I work from a client-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, and culturally informed perspective.I have a history of working with adolescents with developmental delays and have a background in behavior therapy. I believe that clients, as humans, have the answers, and as clinicians, we are granted special permission to join clients in helping to understand and adapt their stories. A little about me: I love going to CrossFit every morning. I am a huge nerd, constantly listening to audibles and/or podcasts such as Huberman Lab and non-fiction books. I enjoy being outdoors: snowboarding, motorcycle/dirt biking, hiking, any movement, &traveling. My parents are from Peru, so I visit there often. Tambien hablo español!
