I believe that change happens when we feel safe, seen, heard, and validated. Clients usually share with me concerns related to symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, stressful life events, and challenges in relationships. My clients have many skills, talents, strengths, and are very hardworking! Sometimes they share that they "feel stuck" or "no matter what I try, I just can't seem to get where I want to be". When someone feels stuck, or like "nothing has worked", this can lead to feeling frustrated or hopeless. In therapy, we work together to create small changes by building off strengths you already have.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist I provide support to individuals, couples, and families. I provide trauma informed care including EMDR (EMDRIA approved training program). My approach is person-centered, integrative, warm, compassionate and collaborative. Often, I will use a blend of therapy models based on clients' goals for therapy.
At the start of therapy, I will gather some basic information about your current concerns and past experiences. Together we will set small, managable steps that support your goals for the future. Typically I respond to inquiries via email during normal business hours M-F.
