Finding the right therapist can be confusing and overwhelming. One of the most crucial aspects of therapy is feeling understood in a safe, comfortable environment. As a seasoned clinician, I work with clients in a supportive, nonjudgemental way. Individuals often repeat behavioral patterns learned growing up in their families. This can lead to low self esteem, depression, anxiety and unfulfilling relationships. Psychotherapy can help people grieve losses and navigate through transitions healthier ways. Individual, couples and family therapy can help identify ineffective couple and family patterns and eliminate longstanding resentments, loneliness and low self esteem.
I work with couples who are struggling with conflicts that can come up in the life of any relationship. This work can help couples understand each other more deeply, to communicate more effectively and to learn how to work through conflict in a healthy way. This also applies with individuals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience. I hold a number of post graduate certifications in marriage and family therapy as well as individual therapy. I have practiced in various settings including community mental health, family service agencies, inpatient and outpatient addiction services.
