My practice is focused on the adult and young adult population and all of the life issues that accompany these age groups. These include issues of parenting, relationships, depression, life transitions, personality disorders, divorce, self image and self esteem issues. Identity concerns are also prominent in the young adult populations well as educational and career concerns. my practice philosophy is a comprehensive one and geared toward the needs of each client. I use psychodynamic and object relationship theories as well as solution focused and self management techniques. I provide couples counseling as a means toward conflict resolution. I have experience working with the adolescent population.
As a certified coach practitioner, i assist each client to define their goals as well as developing steps to reach those goals. Additionally, I provide grief counseling to those who have experienced loss of family, friends relationships as well as assisting clients to deal with physical illness and end of life issues.
As a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine I work with couples and individuals dealing with issues of infertility, including feelings of depression and inadequacy. as well as couples conflicts that arise due to infertility. I work with women on pre and post natal issues.
