Are you here because you are recognizing that something in your life is not working and you are curious about what it would be like to stop trying to figure it out on your own? Are you open to self-reflection, new ideas for coping, self-care, and communication with others? People come to see me with all kinds of issues: depression and anxiety, relational struggles, difficulty connecting to what they want and following through on goals, unresolved trauma from the past or present, the use of coping mechanisms that had been helpful, but no longer are and challenges posed by various life-stage transitions. We all need support at times.
I have been practicing, teaching, and writing about AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) for over 25 years. My work helps people get in touch with the emotions and bodily awareness that is often missing when they are "stuck “ or “spinning.” I create safety and a strong therapeutic connection to facilitate this exploration and healing.
My approach is warm and affirming. I am a careful listener and takes people into my heart and mind to ask the right questions and help guide you to the truths you need to embrace in order to have the life you desire.
