About
My style is direct and collaborative. It has been my experience that most people try their best to work through feelings of being stuck and lost before contacting a therapist. I am here to offer you my expertise to supplement what you have tried and learned on your own. Together we can find the best strategies to give you relief from your distress and to help you gather the skills, knowledge and insight necessary to move forward.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from CU, where I taught Lifespan Development for over a decade. My developmental training allows me to help my clients consider their current struggles and pain in the context of what has already happened in life and what could happen with appropriate help and attention.
I treat adolescents/adults for a variety of concerns including: addiction, anxiety, attachment, depression, divorce, grief/loss, marital conflict, parenting difficulties, sexuality, and post-traumatic stress. I have post-doctoral training in a variety of addictions (i.e. compulsive eating, drinking, internet, porn, recreational drugs, sex, spending, work).
