Hello! My name is Efren Lopez, an LCSW practicing in Los Angeles. In my approach to therapy, you can expect a client-centered, attachment and relationship-led approach to help build trust, and safety and help explore the difficult parts of ourselves. I am trained in EMDR and through this trauma-informed approach, treat PTSD as well as early attachment traumas, and help you develop awareness, understanding, and tools to help manage your own self. My approach to therapy is through a trauma and attachment-informed approach to help bring self-regulation and healing to some of your earliest memories.
In my approach, I focus on merging both the attachment and trauma-informed approaches to help you understand what trauma can look like in your body and give you the tools and understanding to heal and self-regulate.
My goals for sessions are to help you listen to your body, mind and help you understand what is happening with your emotions. I help create a safe, non-judgmental environment to help you experience emotions safely, manage them, and assist you in finding the courage to heal.
