I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Nationally Certified Counselor in the Houston area. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas by two proud Salvadoran parents. I offer an extensive amount of background and knowledge in mental health working with families with various counseling needs and in a variety of settings.
I specialize in individual, couples and family counseling utilizing the Individual Psychology theory developed by Alfred Adler coupled with Person-Centered strategies & techniques developed by Carl Rogers. I am also a trauma certified EMDR therapist. I am fluent in two languages and thus offer therapy in both English & Spanish.
My main objective in counseling would be to provide clients with a safe place to work through emotional, psychological, and/or social needs that are preventing them from forming healthy relationships and bonds with others while finding joy in one's life. Life is genuinely difficult, but there is hope when difficulties are confronted in a safe setting.
