I specialize in identity, depression, anxiety and complex trauma; which includes colonial / imperial / race-based trauma and sexual trauma. My foundation is anti racist/oppression, sex positive, pro LGBTQ2S+, women, and immigrant. I use eclectic therapy approaches including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Spiritually Infused Psychotherapy (SIP); to help clients identify, navigate, and transform limiting thoughts, un-serving behavior patterns & reclaim one’s true essence. As an Indigenous person, the following praxis guides me:
1) It is my job to ensure you don't need me anymore. We work with intention. 2) A co-dependent relationship is not the goal, thus not all medicine is sweet or nice. We will confront your shadow self radically, without rushing your healing journey. 3) Healing is not about guilt, blame or shame. It is about responsibility, relationship, respect, & reciprocity.
