Dr. Edward Summers is a Mental Health Counselor who has worked in individual & group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He obtained his BA and MPA from Marist College and holds a M.Phil and Ph.D. from The New School. He has completed more than 300 hours of psychotherapy and addiction training. Dr. Ed believes in using evidence-based practices and draws from CBT, DBT, mindfulness training, holistic, and humanistic approaches in order to be an insightful and compassionate guide to help clients to self-evaluate & find their own paths to happiness.
I am a caring and loving clinician who understands the impact that mental health disorders and addiction challenges have on individuals and their family and friends. I enjoy working with clients to become the best versions of themselves. I help clients work through their challenges by using innovative clinical methods to their challenges.
