I find that more often than not, people are not certain what exactly it is that brings them to therapy; only that something is not working for them, or something doesn’t feel right, and they haven’t been able to fix it or understand it on their own. I meet clients where they are and we find a path together to seek understanding of what it is that’s not working, and how they can chart a different course.
While I am quite adept at providing an official diagnosis when that is needed or desired, I am not keen on squeezing my clients into a box. Every human being is always more complex than a diagnosis of any kind. I have provided psychotherapy for more than 25 years and I have acquired expertise in essentially every kind of problem people bring to therapy,
Life is hard. It's often all we can do to feel safe, much less happy and well adjusted. Loss and grief, trauma, loneliness, broken communities and broken homes, financial worries, too much to deal with and not enough time; it can all become overwhelming. If you could use some expert and empathic support and guidance, reach out today and don't struggle alone.
