Individual and marital counseling is grounded in my belief that when clients feel emotionally safe, seen, and connected, their relationships can become a meaningful place for healing, growth, and resilience. I recognize that individuals and couples can experience challenges even when there is genuine care, love, and commitment. At times, past experiences, unmet emotional needs, and familiar patterns of relating can make it difficult to feel understood, connected, and emotionally safe. My role is to create a warm and supportive space where individuals and couples can better understand themselves and their relationships.
My hope is to create a welcoming and supportive space where couples can slow down, better understand their relationship patterns, and explore what may be underneath the conflict. Together, we can work toward healing relational wounds, increasing emotional awareness, strengthening communication, and creating a relationship in which both partners feel valued.
I primarily work with Black individuals who are interested in understanding how culture, family experiences, and lived experiences may influence their emotional well-being and relationships. I also welcome couples who are navigating communication challenges, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, life transitions, or other areas of relational distress.
