About
I enjoy helping a variety of individual therapy and relationship counseling clients, many with multiple issues such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, work and time stress and difficult relationship issues. Thirty plus years experience helps me make an initial evaluation and begin appropriate therapy or counseling in the first session.
First, I want to understand what values and needs have deep meaning to clients and couples. Often the core therapy is warm, supportive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, I incorporate other therapies to help reduce uncomfortable thoughts and feelings while building self-esteem, self-confidence and a strong sense of wellbeing.
In marriage and relationship counseling, I help resolve conflicts by understanding the goals of both clients and by facilitating the positive communications and mutually satisfying behaviors that can create rewarding relationship. My philosophy is that clients and couples have greater positive resources within themselves than they ever thought possible.
