Hi there! I'm Edlíz and I love to work with young adults who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression or other mental health illness, and self-esteem/interpersonal struggles. My goal is to create a strong therapeutic alliance and create opportunities in navigating these issues for self-understanding and validation because, let's be honest, adulting can be pretty hard sometimes. I help clients build skills to manage mental wellness and prevent distress in the future. I also support clients in finding purposefulness in their decisions to reinforce healthy identity development.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Humanistic Approaches in my work. I believe lasting change takes place when we not only learn how to cope through the difficulties of life but understand why it's important for us as individuals to build resilience. Growth happens with time and evolves with each stage of life.
Currently, I have limited capacity to schedule new clients. However, I've worked to build a team of like minded clinicians who are accepting new clients. Please feel free to reach out to set up a call with one of our skilled counselors and see how we can best support you.
