My expertise is sex therapy and couples therapy. I am passionately committed to empowering clients and challenging them to create the satisfying relationships and healthy families that they want. I work with men, women, and couples at different developmental states with equal ease, using my clinical insight, deeply positive attitude, and authentically supportive approach.
For years I have taught my graduate students the importance of a genuinely non-judgmental attitude when treating sexual issues. Knowledge of the wide range of sexual expression and variations is important, too. I am pleased to provide this attitude and knowledge to all my clients.
Sex involves more than friction-it involves the ideas, assumptions, and expectations of two people who may not really understand each other. I approach patients with a sensitivity to the ways in which their unique biography shapes their ability to communicate their experience, and to appreciate the communication of others.
My life and educational experiences living in the U.S.S.R., Lithuania, and the U.S. shape my special way of connecting theory and practice, always conscious of the role cultural experience plays in shaping every individual. I give seminars and do therapy in English, Lithuanian, and Russian languages.
