I believe that people have the power to live healthy, connected, full lives. With proper support and guidance, healing and change can happen. I specialize in working with adults who have histories of childhood sexual abuse and attachment wounds. I assist clients in finding the safety to explore difficult histories and relationships, to create new boundaries and stand firm in them. I guide clients to a place of self-acceptance, worth and love. There is no question that the work is hard; however, with support we can do hard things.
I am a graduate of St. Mary’s University with a Marriage and Family Therapy degree and utilize various traditional interventions such as EMDR, DBT, Collaborative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I am also a certified Restorative Yoga teacher and incorporate trauma-informed restorative yoga principles of “rest and digest” into therapy
sessions to address how trauma is often stored in the body. In my off hours, if I am not reading you might find me searching for the best British crime and detective series with my partner, spending time with my ever-expanding blended family, listening to true crime podcasts, or hanging out with my two rescue dogs, Frankie and Izzy.
