I'm an independently licensed psychotherapist available for in-person and virtual sessions. My training is in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means I respect, and am humbled by, the opportunities for self-knowledge when we listen deeply to the thoughts that come to mind when we aren’t distracted by something else. We live in an uncertain world where quick fixes and temporary symptom relief may seem like the only realistic option. But more often than not, a "symptom" is a sign of hope, because it's an unconscious way to communicate. In psychodynamic therapy, we work together to listen.
Psychotherapy creates opportunities to become more expansive and less rigid in how we see the world and ourselves. Major life transitions, separations, and loss can be overwhelming even in the best of circumstances, and it can be difficult to put words to what we go through, but therapy can help find a path forward.
