About
I specialize in two areas: (1) Reducing anxiety and depression in adults and children; (2) Reducing problem behaviors in children and teens. I have received advanced training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and use this training with many of my patients to gain a more in-depth understanding of issues that have lingered in a painful manner for many years.
I have many years of experience and training. I strive to offer a warm and thoughtful approach to understanding and resolving emotional struggles.
When working with children, the bulk of my focus is spent with the child. However, I do spend time with parents, alone, strategizing and collaborating the optimal care and treatment for your child. I provide clinical supervision for licensed psychotherapists, and I am a voluntary instructor at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center.
