I am person-centered in relationship, existential and humanistic in philosophy, eclectic in approach.
As therapist I am committed to address life's challenges of transition and transformation, to enrich each client's ability to think creatively and responsibly about one's own life, and to support the client's vision for change. My goal: to assist the process of self-awareness and clarity; to rename and reconfigure what is significant; and to facilitate the process of creating new solutions of meaning. I perceive life as improvisatory art, more than a linear goal, and I seek to facilitate the client's integration of diverse emotions and experiences into a radiant whole.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by life's daily demands? Do you struggle with finding motivation or energy to reach your goals? Our turbulent emotions, negative thoughts, and self doubt often hold us back. It can be difficult to take that first step in making an improved you. Having a therapist that will meet you where you are at can make the process more manageable.

While I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I also take an eclectic approach and use other evidence-based practices such as mindfulness, narrative therapy, and imagery.
Greetings. What is your comfort level with the now? Are you currently thinking about the past, the future, or are you present in your now? When you and I begin working together, we will start where you are and hold space for the “present” of now. Time progresses and changes occur, sometimes comfortably and other times not so comfortably. I am passionate about supporting my clients as they travel their journey and welcome the gifts they possess. “Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.” Pema Chodron.

We will incorporate eclectic and integrative therapeutic approaches while integrating biblical perspectives.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5) You are created for a purpose and even though the darkness was hard at work, here you are, standing your ground. Well done! I want to come alongside and start this journey of true joy and freedom with you. If you are experiencing dissatisfaction and emptiness due to lack of life-giving fruit in your life, it is time to do things differently. What has worked in the past will no longer work because the Light has come.

The eclectic approaches to therapy I offer, using CBT, DBT, and ACT, is individualized to fit your needs.
Today may be one of the “Bad Days,” maybe even the worst yet. Lately, bad days are becoming more frequent. Racing thoughts, worry, anxiety, sadness, and lack of motivation seem to be taking over everything. You’re doing your best, but doing day to day tasks becomes a battle that is becoming harder to win. You’re always tired. Your brain never stops. Loved ones are concerned and maybe complain, which makes you feel worse. You shut down and either put on a show or avoid the people, tasks, and events that are important. The negative voice in your head is getting louder and louder and it says horrible and scary things to and about you.

Hello and welcome! I'm Sierra. I'm a queer, anti-racist Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Atlanta, Georgia. I started my career as a therapist at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and if there is one thing I learned from that time it's that, more often than not, it's not you- it's the system. Since then I have been helping fellow women and members of the LGBTQ+ community rebuild self-esteem, manage anxiety, and heal unresolved trauma. I also help families of LGBTQ+ youth gain understanding about their child's experience and empower them to provide the best support they can.

Eclectic Therapists
Many practitioners take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic methods to create their own custom-made approach. Such therapists often work with their clients to create a treatment plan that encompasses different techniques to best address the client's particular problems and to appeal to their sensibility.
