Coping with the effects of a traumatic experience is like battling through a stream of thick mud, making you feel helpless and unsafe. On the outside you may appear fine, but on the inside, there is something dark and sad sitting just below the surface. The irritability, lack of connection to others and yourself, disinterest in the things you used to enjoy, and difficulty sleeping is enough to make you feel like there’s no end in sight. Perhaps you’ve turned to substances or other behaviors as a way to cope since nothing else seems to work. Seeking help is scary but with the right connection miracles can happen.

Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I have always had a bit of a different approach to healing than traditional therapy. My studies have been both in counseling and in spiritual arts, including astrology, chakras and energy/sound healing. Each of us has certain patterns, ways we exist in this world. This brings us preferences and personality traits. I can help you to better understand yourself, your needs and to use your energies most effectively. Healing blockages frees you from past traumas and current emotional patterns. I can help you to shift your life to more ease, joy and peace through understanding and release.

I specialize in the messy and beautiful process of being human. I believe that every person has the capacity to grow as an individual and to find meaningful connection and purpose in life. When we become disconnected from our true selves, we lose sight of this central truth. You are the expert on you; my role as a therapist is to walk with you and coach you through the process of discovering who you really are and how you can accomplish a happier and more fulfilling life.

Most of the time life goes along well and we feel satisfied with how things are going and what we are accomplishing. Then there are times when we feel out of sync, like we’re stepping on our own opportunities. We are sure there is a better way but we don’t know what it is. These are the times when personal counseling can be very helpful to get back on track and experience the sense of satisfaction, accomplishment and happiness we know we are entitled to.

Cloy Dellaripa received her Master’s degree from Arizona State University in Community Counseling in 2007. She began work in family and adolescent counseling in 2008 for families experiencing crisis and trauma. More recently, Cloy works with addiction recovery, dual diagnosis and complex trauma clients. She has received advanced training in PTSD, trauma counseling, veteran recovery, Ayurvedic Sciences, mindfulness and meditation practices and is a certified Yoga and Yoga Nidra instructor. Cloy enjoys utilizing the healing benefits of nature in her therapeutic work. Cloy is trained in EMDR and Brainspotting.
