I am a psychotherapist and expressive arts therapist based in Boulder, CO. I use a trauma-informed approach that draws on the depth of relational psychoanalysis, the practicality of cognitive behavioral therapy, and the expressive magic of somatic and art-based approaches. Coming to therapy is a tremendous step to facilitate change. I provide an empathic and understanding environment to help clients work through their problems. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and received a Master's degree in Somatic Psychology, (Body Psychotherapy) from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. I have significant experience working with families, adolescents, children, and adults all over the world. Among other extensive work with children from 2 to 18 years, I have worked with orphans in Mexico that were survivors of significant trauma and abuse and in Colombia with a group of displaced women, survivors of war. My therapeutic focus centers on the integration of the body and the mind in order to help my clients flourish.

You’re an outsider, different than the culture around you, pushed to the margins. And you’ve been keeping secrets. Dark, taboo secrets about money, death, sex, religion, female bodies, and politics. For yourself, for your family, for society. For a long time, it was easy enough to bury these secrets, to pretend it never happened, to pretend you didn’t know. But you can’t anymore. Lots of everyday and mundane things are calling these secrets to the surface; some you don’t even recognize as your own. You feel like you may crack apart.
