I offer counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with anxiety and depression for all ages. I also have specialized training and experience in treating adolescents who are struggling with self-injury. I have been trained in a variety of approaches including CBT, DBT and psychodynamic theory. I am eclectic in my approach and use the therapeutic strategies that are the best fit for my client.
I meet clients where they are providing a safe environment that allows for open discussion of life’s challenges. I am compassionate, nonjudgmental and enjoy my work. This helps to create genuine relationships that facilitate change. I help clients explore new ways of looking at life, appreciating their strengths and managing their emotions.
I have extensive experience working in special education in public school and offer consultation around issues such as understanding eligibility, interpreting psycho-educational assessments, navigating the ARD process and helping parents and students understand IEP goals and objectives and what special education supports and services are offered.
