Hello! I have over 25 years of experience & specialize in anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, self-regulation and recovery. I value in depth assessment which informs our process. Unlike some types of supportive counseling, I offer education about how life experiences are hardwired into our brains & how this impacts all aspects of life and our relationships. I also focus on teaching skills to transform anxiety and stress into resilience, calm, and increased joy. They're not to blame for what's happened in their lives but do need to take responsibility for their actions. I support kids in not feeling broken or thinking they are "bad". I use play, art projects and stories to help them express feelings. I teach them skills to understand and manage their feelings and teach them to share their feelings to get support and feel safe.

I work with males between the ages of 13 through adulthood either in-person or virtual. I particularly like helping dads navigate fatherhood. With school-aged young men we work on friend/relationship concerns, home life, gaining independence, parental divorce, loss, school life, and what to do after high school. With adult men and dads I help them find balance with family, work, and friend issues as they navigate this new role. Finding space and maintaining energy apart from the family unit without guilt while fostering positive masculinity is tough to learn, but necessary to be more present with the self as well as partners & kids.

Maybe you keep hitting the same wall in your relationship to your self and with others. Maybe anxiety is controlling you or you feel disempowered in your daily life. I specialize in working with children, preteens, and adolescents ages 8 - 16+. I also offer therapy/coaching for parents raising a challenging child/teen and family therapy to help mend the parent-child relationship. I work best with clients who may be anxious, depressed, working through grief/loss or trauma, and have low self-esteem, and need social, life, coping, or relationship skills. My approach is playful, authentic, and honest! I blend play and expressive arts - sand tray, drawing, role-playing, and other experiential activities. I want to help my clients become more calm, curious, connected, resilient, and empowered!
