Better Days Therapy is a mental health service that provides counseling for adults, adolescents, children, and families. I work with individuals, groups and communities to improve mental health. I examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress and suicide. I help clients define goals, plan action and gain insight into their thought process. I develop therapeutic processes and take a holistic (mind, body, and spirit) approach to mental health care. I will perform crisis intervention and crisis counseling when needed.

Inevitably we all encounter profound disappointments and trauma in our life-time. The resulting pain which lingers, may cause physical or emotional symptoms such as confusion, excessive anger, fear, anxiety, and/or depression. Such symptoms make achieving one's life's goals difficult. The goal of psychotherapy is to relieve these debilitating symptoms. Working with adult individuals, I create an environment that facilitates an honest and open exchange between patient and therapist. My goal is to identify the source of symptoms and to increase my patient's quality of life by restoring a sense of balance of body and mind.

Our DBT Programs offer an opportunity to receive extensive support and expert treatment in an outpatient setting. We treat the full range of psychological issues (including Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Impulse Control disorders, Eating Disorders, Trauma, Relationship Problems, Personality Disorders). We have an outpatient Trauma Program for Adults. We also offer individual therapy from varying theoretical orientations.

Mr. Dartayet-Rodriguez is a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist (CSAT) and is graduate of the Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions Program at the William Alanson White Institute.
